Clearing the Air

I decided that it was time to put something else up, so the first thing visitors see is no longer a complete bashing spree on Abraham Lincoln. I certainly don't regret anything, take anything back, or apologize for anything that I said; why apologize for speaking the truth?

Anyhow, the Lord has been working in our lives and bringing us to the place (I believe) where he can use us and further us more visibly toward getting to the field.

On another note, my wife and I have already picked out some names for our kids; being a Grey-Blooded Southern boy, at least three of the boys' names will be Robert Edward, Nathan Bedford, and James Ewell Brown. Girls we've decided to name with Bible names and Biblical virtues as middle names. That way we can be historical and Biblical all at the same time, and our kids can be thankful of their heritage and know their names stand for truth and integrity.

We should have taken that hill!

Cemetery Ridge, you mean? We had it for a bit...but we didn't have the reinforcements to hold it nor the necessary artillery to soften it up. The boys in Grey sure kicked some Yankee tail that day!!

We had a lady visit our church (the mother of a sister in the Lord) who said, "You people in the South talk about the Civil War like it happened yesterday."

My father-in-law, who lives in Arkansas, says that the Civil War was fought over the price of cotton. When the North refused to pay a fair price to the Southern cotton growers, we began exporting to Europe. This led to the "Northern Aggression". Liberals!

Sure, prices and unfair taxation were "leaves" on the issue, but the proverbial root was the loss of Constitutional freedom and States' Rights.

Like Doc says, this country hasn't been Constitutional since 1865!

Yes. I like this line from the movie "Gettysburg":

Union soldier says, "What are you rebs fighting this war for anyway?"

Confederate soldier replies, "I don't know about you, but I'm fightin' fer my rats!"
